Earrings
Minutes to create: 10
Supplies needed:
2 earring wires, 2 earring head pins, and 2 turquoise beads.

1Take one of your head pins and slide on: 1 turquoise bead.

2.  Make a head pin loop, (See Bead Basics) attach loop to earring wire and close using your bent-nose pliers. Repeat steps second earring.

Necklace
Minutes to create: 50
Supplies needed:
Pewter necklace, 8 turquoise beads and 8 head pins.

1The first thing you need to do is separate the necklace chain into sections. You will need to open the round links in the chain. These links are very solid so you will need to use your muscles to open them. Starting at the pendant, count up 3 links and open the small round link following the 3rd link. Discard link. Continue by separating 3 more 3-link sections on this side of your necklace.

2.  Do the same thing on the second side of your necklace. You should end up with 2 - 3-link sections still attached to the pendant, 6 loose 3-link sections and the sections attached to your clasp.

3.  Take 8 head pins and cut off the heads. Make a head pin loop on one end of each head pin. Keep loops open.

4.  Slide 1 turquoise bead on to each head pin and make another head pin loop. Keep loops open.

5.  Put the necklace together by attaching the 3-link sections of chain to each of the turquoise head pins in the following order: 3-link section attached to the pendant, turquoise head pin, 3-link section, turquoise head pin, 3-link section, turquoise head pin, 3-link section, turquoise head pin then end with one of the chain sections attached to the clasp.

6.  Repeat for second side of necklace.

7.  Optional: I made a little change to the way the pendant was attached to the chain because I felt like it was always twisting the chain. As you look at your necklace now you will see that both sides of the necklace are attached to the pendant by 1 round link attached to a jump ring. I opened the small round link and removed 1 side of the necklace and then closed the round link. I then took one of the round links that you discarded in step 1 and attached it to the side I just removed and reattached it to the jump ring, so that each side had it's own round link.
