Even when her husband got accepted to law school in Iowa, we remained friends. We shared in the joy of motherhood as I delivered my first daughter, Haley, and three months later she delivered a daughter named Jessica.
What better way to keep a friendship strong than two little girls! Haley and Jessica spent summers together switching between houses. We often met at theme parks and at the zoo so our families could spend time together.
Most recently our daughters' friendship has been through texting and FaceBook pages as graduation and college have kept them very busy. This past weekend our families were reunited once again to see Jessica married.
As we laughed and cried thinking about the years we've shared, and wondering where they went, we both came to realize that our friendship is one of our greatest treasures. Nothing is better than a best friend!
