The reason this game came to memory was because one of my sisters was saying how occasionally she lets the "Wicked Witch" into her home. I also recall telling my children when they were quite young, that at 8:00pm if they weren't in bed, the Wicked Witch would be visiting.
As I was thinking about the mother in our game, it made me laugh. Although I did grow up in the '60s and '70s, I don't ever recall my mother going to town to smoke a pipe and what day of the week did the mother in the game leave? Was it Monday, Friday, or somewhere in between? Did she realize that without this much needed break, she actually might have turned into the Wicked Witch?
