PDQ Corner Project of the Month

Definition of a true Father

A Father is......

1. Someone wrapped around a child's finger.
2. Someone who hates teenage boys who talk to his daughter.
3. Someone who is defined by the statement, "Wait until your Father gets home!"
4. Someone who can beat up anyone else's Father.
5. Someone who cries when a child is born, left alone with him, or hugs him.
6. Someone whose presence outweighs all others at any special event.
7. Someone who thinks he's the head of the house, but really isn't.
8. Someone who can fix anything or at least tries.
9. Someone who is much braver than the Boogey Man.
10. Someone who little girls love and little boys admire.

For some reason, society would have us believe that fathers in the home aren't that important. I don't agree!

Summer Fun
In the first week of Summer Break, I heard the words "I'm bored" at least 100 times. Over the years I have accumulated a large bucket of abstract beads. A great way to cure boredom is with a bucket of beads and a few beading supplies. Let their imaginations go wild!
Tricks of the Trade

Every time you see something that just reaches out and grabs, you cut it out and stick it in a notebook or file. Don't limit your choices to pictures of beadwork. Grab any image that excites you. It helps you get closer to defining your own personal sense of style & comes in handy on those days when you have ''Beader's Block.''
