PDQ Corner Project of the Month

Crossroads - We all face different crossroads in life. Some come naturally, while others come unexpectedly.

Sunday morning Feb. 1st became one of those unexpected crossroads.

It was a typical Sunday morning. I was rushing around getting ready for church when I suddenly experienced some signs of a mini stroke. Panic took over as I hurriedly got dressed so that my husband could take me to the hospital. Tears began to flow as I realized I needed to say goodbye to my children. For a moment time stood still. I wondered if they knew how much I loved them. Did they absolutely know that they were more important than anything else in my life?

We all have those moments of questioning, but I have never been so frightened and unsure of the answer than I was at that moment.

Having survived the scare, I now have an opportunity to make a choice. Do I choose to settle back into my life the way it was before, or do I choose to make this experience an opportunity to live my life so that I will never have to question if my family knows. Does your family know?

Have a great month &

Bead Facts

How are Swarovski crystals different from plain glass?
Swarovski crystal is made at the factory in Wattens using basic formulae perfected by Daniel Swarovski and his three sons in the earlier part of last century. Swarovski crystal is fired using a combination of natural minerals and quartz sand, and then cooled slowly to avoid stress and inclusions.

Quick Tips

Don't be a slave to fashion; however, it helps to keep an eye on what is in the magazines and what is being worn on the street. Keeping an eye towards current shapes, style, colors and scale can help make your beadwork look fresh and current.
