PDQ Corner Project of the Month

A Celebration of Love - My parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last month. Fifty years ago, with Yellowstone National Park as their backdrop, they fell in love, got married and as they say, "the rest is history," or was it?

You know when God told Adam and Eve to multiply and replenish the earth? Well, my parents took that literally. After raising 10 children in a very crazy, but very happy home, they were finally free to enjoy the easy life or so they thought.

I don't think anyone can prepare for the wonder of being a grandparent, especially being a grandparent to 55 (soon to be 57) grandchildren. They've watched their posterity grow through good times and bad; through laughter and tears.

As we gathered to celebrate this great union, dressed in our best "50's" garb, I couldn't help feeling a little in awe of what the past 50 years had produced. For one night, everything was right with the world, all because two people fell in love.
