What's Matters Most in Life - Last weekend my husband and I decided to rent the movie "Bucket List." I've always loved Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson as actors.
The premise of the movie is two men who both have cancer and become friends while being treated in a hospital. The "bucket list" refers to a list of things they want to do before they "kick the bucket."
I don't want to ruin the movie for those of you who haven't seen it yet, but it all came down to them realizing that the only thing that really mattered in the end was the relationships in their life.
Of course someone has to die and I had to cry, but it also got me thinking about how I had reacted when they started talking about their bucket list. I immediately started thinking of what would be on my list and like them, I was thinking only of myself.
By the end of the movie I realized that my thinking had also changed. All I would want to do is be with my family. Nothing else in life really matters more than the relationships we build.
