Time to Reflect...... Here I sit in the hospital waiting room while my 16-year-old daughter is having gall bladder surgery. Although I wouldn't wish this on anyone, I'm grateful for the experience. Chelsea is a great daughter, but most of her time is spent in her bedroom listening to music and texting her friends. About 2 months ago when she became very sick, things began to change and we found ourselves taking a step back in time. I found myself holding her as she cried in pain and frustration, much like when she was learning to walk or ride a bike. Time was spent talking about everything and nothing, like we did when she was in elementary school. And when she relied on me for her most basic needs, I was reminded of a time not so long ago when I held her in my arms and rocked her to sleep. Sometimes I think we are given experiences that allow us to stop and think. I will always look back on this particular experience with mixed emotions, but mostly I will recognize it as a rare moment of nurturing in the life of a mother for her teenage daughter. Have a great month & remember to Never Stop Creating! |

![]() Coral is known for its spiritual value of being like a wise teacher. It teaches us to value life and our place in it. It shows us the importance of living so that we make the world a good place for the children and grandchildren that follow. It is a beautiful symbol of the importance of creatures and plants living harmoniously together. |
