Playing Dress Up - I have two teen-age daughters. Haley who is 17 and Chelsea who is 16. Last month when two very "cute" boys asked them both to Prom, I was suddenly thrown into an experience that only a mom can relate to. As much as my husband tried to relate to it, after seeing the bill for the dresses, he realized he was way out of his league. With dresses, purses, gloves and shoes in place, I assumed we were done. But alas, even though I own every project found on PDQ Creations and then some, I found myself making a necklace 15 minutes before their dates arrived. As I watched my daughters come down the stairs on Prom night, I was taken back 10 years earlier when on a snowy day, Haley and Chelsea put on dresses and lipstick and came clomping down the stairs in my high heels ready to have a tea party. It was one of those tender moments that made me stop and realize that my little girls, although growing up, still love playing dress up. Have a great month & remember to Never Stop Creating! |

![]() Cutting Memory Wire - To cut loops of memory wire, use shears that are made specifically for hardened wire. Memory wire will cut into regular wire-cutter blades, ruining them. When placing beads onto the wire, it's important to keep the wire in its natural shape. Avoid pulling the wire straight or the ends may bounce back, causing the beads to fly off. |
