Whoever came up with the phrase "Lazy days of Summer" didn’t have children. Growing up in a large family never allowed for much laziness. My father was a teacher and had summers off. He always came up with a crazy plan to earn some extra money and to keep us busy during the summer months. One summer we were the "ice cream truck." As a teenager, it was quite embarrassing being chased down the street by little children. I’m sure we didn’t make much that summer, but we sure enjoyed eating the profit. My least favorite summer was when we got a job cleaning campgrounds. As awful as it seemed, our reward was Christmas in Disneyland, so it was worth it. Every time my children complain about getting a job in the summer, I threaten them with becoming the neighborhood ice cream truck. Check out What’s New on the site and make something fun for Summer.

![]() Coral's greatest spiritual value is that it is like a wise teacher. It teaches us to value life and our place in it. It shows us the importance of living so that we make the world a good place for the children and grandchildren that follow. It is a beautiful symbol of the importance of creatures and plants living harmoniously together. Go to PDQ Shop and search for "coral" to see our selection. |
