PDQ Corner Project of the Month

With Valentine's Day over and the roses starting to wilt, my thoughts are turned to gratitude. Gratitude is not only my love language, but it is one of the hardest things for me to express to those closest to me.

On "Oprah" this week I heard someone say, until we learn to be grateful for what we have, we can never expect to have anything more. They also suggested that no matter how bad our situation seems, if we decide to be grateful for the situation and the opportunity it provides us to learn something, we will have a better chance of changing the situation to a more positive one.

Some days I really have to dig deep to find anything to be grateful for. On those days I'm grateful for Motrin, the pizza delivery man, doors with locks, bath tubs, the Disney Channel, and chocolate. On other days, when life slows down a bit, I find myself humbled by the realization of everything I have been given and a little guilty for my selfishness.

Gratitude costs you nothing, is definitely returnable, changes relationships, and in my mind is the greatest gift you can give. Think about what a different world we would live in if people were more grateful.

Color Trends
