PDQ Corner Project of the Month

Happy New Year! I must say, I really look forward to the new year. I think of it as a time to start fresh. A time to evaluate the past year and recognize blessings that were received, mistakes that were made, and things I definitely need to improve on.

The most memorable event of the past year was the beginning of PDQ Creations. The idea of PDQ Creations was conceived by two people who had a lot of experience in the scrapbook industry, but the only experience they had in the jewelry industry was the fact that one of the two occasionally wore jewelry.

To make a long story short, great designers were hired, projects were created, inventory was gathered, and after a year of planning and preparing, we launched. I say launched because that's kind of what it felt like. Being launched into cyber space, not really sure where we would land and wondering if anyone would notice us. Well, I'm happy to report we landed and you noticed!

What does the new year have in store for each of us? Will we become better, kinder, wiser, smarter, stronger, or will we stand still, in fear of what lies ahead? A wise person once said:

Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever. -
Gandhi

Have an incredible year and remember to
Never Stop Creating!

Interesting Bead Facts

Carnelian was believed by the Romans to be a stone of courage--able to shore up confidence and strength. Carnelian has been worn in cameos in the belief that it will ward off insanity and depression. Carnelian is thought by some to enhance self-esteem, to combat feelings of inadequacy, and to increase physical energy.

"Your Shades of Blue Three-Strand Necklace and Earring Set is GORGEOUS. I love all the projects you offer and your prices are NOT TO BE BEAT!" Karen V.

Trends

Unconventional is in! Combine eccentricity with glamour, mix a variety of bead shapes together, and you've got it. Imagine pearls, wood and metal all in the same piece. The essential ingredient of the season is plenty of soul!

Project Updates
The rings on the Bling Rings can quite easily break off. As you attach the head pins, be careful not to bend the rings.

The Topaz Foil Set has been redone with copper chain instead of silver. It looks great!
