PDQ Corner - July 2006 Project of the Month

July is one of my favorite months of the year. I love the 4th of July and being reminded of how blessed we are to live in America. I love the parades, the picnics, the fireworks, but most of all I love getting together with my family.

A tradition I started when my children were very young was to make sure we all had something patriotic to wear to all the festivities. We would wear matching shirts, hat, or whatever I could come up with.

I was very excited when Chrissy, one of our designers, created the Patriotic Swarovski Set. I knew it would be perfect for my traditional patriotic attire.

Now that my children are older, and refuse to wear matching anything, I get to wear whatever I choose. I think my new tradition will be to wear this set every year.

Chrissy created two sets of earrings for this project. One pair is very patriotic and the other is perfect for any season. This is a limited edition piece, so if you like it, don't wait around too long or it will be gone.

Have a great month & never stop creating!

Quick Tips
Have you ever tried to make a multi-strand necklace without using a bead board? I have, and let me tell you, it was not a good time. Using a bead board, especially when making a multi strand necklace can take the guess work out of your different strand lengths. It allows you to see how the necklace will look when finished and is a guaranteed stress reducer.
