Crimping

Step 1 - String crimp tube on to the beading wire followed by a clasp and then back through the crimp tube. Slide crimp tube up towards clasp leaving a 1"- 2" tail.

Step 2 - Using pliers squeeze firmly to close crimp tube. Do this several times to make sure crimp tube is secure.

Step 3 - String desired beads then repeat steps 1-2 to finish piece.

Jump Rings

1. Using two sets of pliers, grasp jump ring on each side with the opening at the top. Rotate the pliers away from each other to open the jump ring. Do not pull out or it will distort the shape. (Photo 1)

2. Attach jump ring to toggle or clasp. (Photo 2)

3. Repeat step 1 by grasping jump ring on each side with the opening at the top. This time you'll rotate the pliers towards each other until jump ring is closed. (Photo 3)

Head Pin Loop

1. After stringing beads onto head pin, bend wire so it forms a right angle laying flat on top of first bead. (Photo 1) Cut head pin wire to ¼" long.

2. Using round nose pliers grasp the very end of the wire at a point approximately 1/8" from tip of pliers. Roll wire around tip while pressing down as you roll, so that loop will stay centered.

3. Leave a small opening to attach earring hook or other loop. Squeeze gently closed with pliers.

Wrapped Head Pin Loop

1. String desired beads onto a head pin. (Photo 1) Using round nose pliers grasp wire right above the top bead about 1/2" from the tip of the pliers. With finger push wire over pliers to a right angle. (Photo 2)

2. Reposition pliers by rotating 1/2 turn. Slide wire toward tip of pliers stopping 1/8" from tip. With finger push wire again over pliers to a right angle. (Photo 3)

3. You will need two sets of pliers for the remaining steps. Take the round nose pliers in your other hand so you can use your dominant hand to do the wire wrapping. With the round nose pliers grasp the wire so that the bottom nose fits snug in the bend and the top nose is resting on top of the wire.

4. While keeping a tight grip on the round nose pliers, take you second pair of pliers and grab the end of the wire. Pull the wire down, back, behind and around the beaded wire, making sure to keep the wire pulled tight. (Photo 4)

5. Continue wrapping moving down toward the beads with each rotation. (Photo 5) Make sure you don’t overlap the wraps. After making as many wraps as desired, trim excess wire and squeeze end gently with pliers to close the wrap. (Photo 6)
